I love the smell of fresh cut green grass in the summer time. It is really fun to roll in and get the smell all over my white coat. When I get off the leash I run like a banshee then roll, roll, roll in the dirt. Summer is great!

Tundra Update #2

An yet, another day of below -10*F to -20*F windchills. It so cold that I decided to poop inside at Mom's feet after we ran outside for our business. There is supposed to be a huge warm front that will bring the temp to 25* F during the day. Yahooooo!

Frozen Tundra Update

Hi, it's a chilly 12* F here in the Frozen Tundra. Going outside to do my business is not as fun as it usually is. My NYRs #2, #3 and #7 are suffering because of the cold.

When it's too cold to go out, I just sit and look pretty, watch and bark at the squirrels on this tree outside my window. That is keeping NYR #1 "Barking at more squirrels" up to my quota.

So long friends! I hope to have more exciting updates from dog world soon, till then I'm on squirrel alert duty next to the window.

My New Year's Resolutions (NYR) for 2009

I've been talking to Mom about what my New Year's Resolutions (NYR) should be for 2009. Since I don't read, work or diet, Mom says that rules out a lot of the top human NYRs for me.

I've been thinking, thinking, thinking...

I just came up with my NYR on Jan 9, 2009 to have MUCH MUCH more fun in 2009. So drum roll please,

1> Bark at more squirrels! (Not Mom approved)
2> Sniff a lot more smells on our walks.
3> Bark at a lot more ducks and geese on our walks. (Not Mom approved)
4> Get a lot more "greenie" treats.
5> Go to Petsmart to meet other dogs and try not to poop or pee on the floor. (Mom approved)
6> No more vacines.
7> Met a lot more dog friends!

We'll that's it for now. I retain the right to change or modify the list as the year progresses, because I'm a cute dog that can get away with it!

Bil*Jac Sample

Yesterday Mom got me new dog food. She took the Bil*Jac challenge at Petsmart. She took home a sample of the Bil*Jac dog food. Mom was very scheptical, but I loved it! I woke her up first thing this moring for a bowl of Bil*Jac.

I am usually very picky about the dog food in my bowl. I eat it after letting it sit most of the day. I loved both bowls that I had.

New Years Eve Morning Walk

I went for a morning walk with my new army fatique sweater. It is so cold that A-Mom thought I needed an extra layer. She was right, it was cooollllllddddd outside this morning in the Frozen Tundra of the North. We were going to go on a walk around the lake but settled for a "quick business" trip.

Hi, I'm Nick the Poodle as you probably already know. I was born on Christmas Day 2006.

My family A-Man, A-Mom and A-Bro talked and talked about the best name for me. Since I'm a boy the men in the family made sure I had a masciline name. My A-Mom was thinking of using a talkoff of a Christmas name like mistletoe, holly, santa, jingle, jangle or St. Nick.

The men of the family prevailed and I was given the name Nick in honor of St. Nick or Santa. I don't believe in Santa because I never see the big guy on Christmas eve but I do get gifts on Dec 25th every year.

This year I got some rawhide candy canes, two pig's ears and some greenies. Those greenies are the best thing made for dogs! I'll do any trick for A-Mom as long as I get a greenie.
